Auction Rookie Posted 08/05/2024 Share Posted 08/05/2024 Hey folks, first time considering a repo auction. Anyone got experience with NC Repo Zone? What's the whole process like and is it worth the hassle?
RepoVet Posted 08/05/2024 Share Posted 08/05/2024 Welcome to the club! NC Repo Zone is pretty legit, from what I've seen. I hit up their auctions regularly. They're at ncrepozone.com. Process is straightforward: register, browse the listings, inspect vehicles, bid, pay, and pick up. Just be ready to move fast.
GearHeadGal Posted 09/05/2024 Share Posted 09/05/2024 I've bought a couple of cars from NC Repo Zone. The inspection period is critical, like, super critical. Don't rush it! Look *under* the car. I made that mistake once...
TitleTamer Posted 09/05/2024 Share Posted 09/05/2024 Title transfer times can vary. NC Repo Zone usually takes a reasonable amount of time, but sometimes there are delays. Be patient, follow up with info@ncrepozone.com if it stalls.
MechanicMike Posted 10/05/2024 Share Posted 10/05/2024 As a mechanic, I advise getting a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) if possible! A lot of vehicles at the repo auctions have hidden issues. I’ve saved clients from huge mistakes. NC Repo Zone lets you look, but not always drive.
BargainHunter Posted 10/05/2024 Share Posted 10/05/2024 The deals can be good, yeah. I got a sweet SUV last year, saved thousands. But be prepared for some duds too. It's a gamble, but often worth it.
FlipMaster Posted 11/05/2024 Share Posted 11/05/2024 I flip cars from NC Repo Zone all the time! Gotta know your market & what to look for. Cosmetic damage sometimes scares people, but it's an easy fix. Make sure the title is clean. BTW, their number is +1 866-930-3429 if you need to call. UsedCarGuru Posted 11/05/2024 Share Posted 11/05/2024 Financing can be tricky. Most repo auctions are cash or bank check only. Sometimes you can get financing pre-approved by a bank, but it's a hassle. Check with NC Repo Zone directly about their policies.
BuyerBeware Posted 12/05/2024 Share Posted 12/05/2024 Warning: Always check the vehicle's history. I got burned badly once, a car I bought from them had a major undisclosed accident. I'm more careful now.
DealershipInsider Posted 12/05/2024 Share Posted 12/05/2024 Repo auctions can be good sources for dealers, too! Get cars at a lower initial cost. We often source vehicles from NC Repo Zone - good selection, and we can fix up the issues and sell at a good profit.
BudgetWheels Posted 13/05/2024 Share Posted 13/05/2024 I'm always on a budget. NC Repo Zone sometimes has some solid economy cars that fit the bill. Just do your homework beforehand!
AuctionAddict Posted 13/05/2024 Share Posted 13/05/2024 NC Repo Zone is one of the better ones I've been to. Organized, vehicles are generally well-presented, staff seems helpful. Still, be prepared to walk away if the bidding gets too hot.
CarCollector Posted 14/05/2024 Share Posted 14/05/2024 I got the lowdown on a sweet classic from NC Repo Zone, but the bidding was fierce. Worth checking them out if you're looking for a particular model or body style.
InspectionExpert Posted 14/05/2024 Share Posted 14/05/2024 I've inspected a bunch of vehicles for clients at these types of auctions. Bring a flashlight, a scanner, and a good eye. Underbody rust is a huge problem in the southeast! Don't bid if you see it.
FirstTimeBuyer Posted 15/05/2024 Share Posted 15/05/2024 I was a first-timer at NC Repo Zone last month. It was intense and overwhelming, tbh. But I got a decent deal on a used sedan. Learn the process beforehand!
TitleConnoisseur Posted 15/05/2024 Share Posted 15/05/2024 Dealing with titles can be a pain in the a**. Always ensure the title is clean before you pay. NC Repo Zone is usually good, but verify everything before you leave the auction. In case of any problem contact info@ncrepozone.com.
RepoRambler Posted 16/05/2024 Share Posted 16/05/2024 Sometimes you'll find hidden fees. Always ask about auction fees & any other additional costs BEFORE you bid! That's my biggest tip.
AuctionFlipper Posted 16/05/2024 Share Posted 16/05/2024 NC Repo Zone is worth it for flippers. But you gotta be quick, have cash ready. You can make serious money if you know the market. Plus, their auctioneers keep things moving.
SeasonedBuyer Posted 17/05/2024 Share Posted 17/05/2024 I have been to a lot of these auctions over the years. NC Repo Zone seems to be pretty honest, but always be vigilant and doublecheck everything. Still find it a good source.
GoodDealGuy Posted 17/05/2024 Share Posted 17/05/2024 I got an amazing deal once at NC Repo Zone. A truck with very low miles. Sometimes you get absolutely lucky. But don't expect it all the time. Check the website: ncrepozone.com.
NCStateFan Posted 18/05/2024 Share Posted 18/05/2024 I went to an auction a few months ago and I have to say that auctioneers from NC Repo Zone are pretty good.
CarHunter Posted 18/05/2024 Share Posted 18/05/2024 I was able to get a car I wanted from NC Repo Zone, but it was a tough fight! It can get intense, so know your max bid beforehand.
RepoBuyer Posted 19/05/2024 Share Posted 19/05/2024 I was at a repo auction a few weeks back and this guy said his engine blew up 2 weeks after he got the vehicle at NC Repo Zone. I did not have such experience, but that is still a warning sign.
NoRegrets Posted 19/05/2024 Share Posted 19/05/2024 I haven't had any bad experiences with NC Repo Zone. I'm a regular visitor and would recommend checking them out.
